I apply 3 thin layers to get intense color.

Does what it says, but loses a couple points for looking cooler in the bottle than it does on my nails. With 2-3 coats I get a cerulean blue-to-purple shift, but it lacks the teal it looks like in product photos and in the bottle. The pigment is pretty good, but perhaps not as saturated as it could be? Even with 2-3 coats on my Nub Club short nails, this polish can look see-through in strong lighting.

All that said, the Breathable formula works wonders for those of us who actually use our hands. I work with animals and fish tanks, so my nails get wet & I wash my hands frequently. This formula is the longest lasting for me; I will get leading edge wear after a couple of days but it doesn’t chip and peel off like regular paint does, and doesn’t require extra accessories or risk allergies like gel manicures can. I’ll take a little hit on pigment for a polish with this kind of staying power. (But uh, hey Orly: more shimmers and duochromes please!)
